What a wonderful experience here at East Buffet. The hospitality was outstanding and excellent. Greeted upon entering and was seated right away. Staff was professional and courteous. Let's dive right into the food selections. I must say, quite an option and a couple of new items since the last time I've visited. The food was delicious and available for serving. Definitely recommend this location due to their amazing customer service and deliciousness.
We had a very good experience overall! The service was great and the selection of food choices was impressive. Everything was fresh and enjoyable. However, I would recommend improving the sushi selection by offering a bit more variety and using higher-quality ingredients to make it even better. With that small improvement, this place could easily be a five-star experience.
My family and I frequent this OG buffet spot in Hawaiian Gardens for special occasions. On a typical weekend at lunch, folks can be immediately seated. As you get seated, the waitress would ask everyone for their drink preference and they will bring it to your table. East Buffet has an extensive selection of stir fried Chinese dishes. I believe it varies per day, yet my taste buds were rarely disappointed. I really like the chewy texture and savory flavor of their kalbi (beef short ribs). I am a huge fan of their steamed taro buns because it serves as a neutralizer for the items I ate that day. Their sushi selection is okay, as their California Rolls are too mushy for my liking. Last but never the least, I am impressed that they carry Thrifty Ice Cream at their Ice Cream bar. I opted for the Cotton Candy and Butter Pecan flavors. You can't go wrong with your Chinese favorites and Thirty Ice Cream at an OG East Buffet!
Spacious and plenty of parking space Great place for one, two or big parties with high seating capacity with layout like Las Vegas, mostly Chinese American style food. Cater to all different diets (including vegeterians) Gloves no longer available at each serving stations when handling utensils, Staff had masks on.. Food was fresh and what I had was delicious and not too salty. Fruits fresh including cherries available. Am informed menu for weekdays lunch stays same but changes in dinner and weekends. Only difference i saw was soft shell crabs, mussels ans shrimps in cajyn sauce, and crawlfish on weekend. if you like those then might be worth it to go on weekend. i am content with weekday menu. Price increased. Overall: Recommend. Thank you East Buffet!
???????? Hawaiian Gardens, CAㅣEast Buffet It was my first time in Hawaiian Gardens and it happened to be around noon so my husband searched a bit and we decided to go try East Buffet. There were quite a lot of people at noon on Friday. The receptionist was a middle-aged uncle who kindly greeted us and led us to our seats where was literally 2 steps away from aisle to get food. Price: Very reasonable price. An adult is $16.99 for lunch (11 am to 3:30 pm) from Monday to Friday, $21.99 for dinner (3:30 pm to 9 pm), and $22.99 for weekends and holidays. Ambiance: There were plenty of seats, and dining environment was very clean. However, the lighting was a bit dim and interior was old-fashioned. Food: Side dish, sashimi area, meat, vegetables, seafood, soup, desserts, fruits (it had cherries!), ice creams, and a separated teppanyaki area. The most part impressed me was the size of fried shrimps was big and fresh and the Chinese hot and sour soup contained a lot of mushrooms. Sushi tasted fresh, too. Service: The waitresses cleaned the table diligently and few can speak Mandarin. There are 2-hour limitation for enjoying the buffet. I would say overall it was worth the money. 12100 East Carson St, Ste A, Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716 (Hawaii Garden Town Center)
We wanted to come back to this place as it has been a while since we last came. This buffet’s menu has always been delectable and delicious. We were seated right away for an early dinner. Service is always top notch and the ambiance is great! Good for group dinners or just a regular family night dinner. They offer senior discounts for age 65 and over. This restaurant has been a regular for locals and visitors alike. We were glad to have come back to savor the deletable hot dishes. Price is $24.99 for dinner and really affordable and hoping that they do not increase their pricing. Kudos to the owner for maintaining the same quality from the start of their opening!
I had an absolutely delightful experience at East Buffet in Hawaiian Gardens! From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and seated me promptly, setting the tone for a fantastic meal. The buffet spread is impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh and flavorful Pan-Asian dishes that cater to every palate. The sushi selection was surprisingly fresh for a buffet, with vibrant sashimi and well-crafted rolls. I especially loved the teppanyaki grill station, where the chefs cooked up juicy steak and shrimp right in front of me—such a fun touch! The seafood options, like the Cajun-style crawfish and plump fried shrimp, were highlights, bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. For dessert, the Thrifty Ice Cream bar was a nostalgic treat, with unique flavors like Cotton Candy that rounded out the meal perfectly. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and well-organized, creating a comfortable vibe for families, friends, or even solo diners like me. The service was attentive, with plates cleared quickly and drinks refilled without me having to ask. At $16.99 for lunch (Monday-Friday), it’s an incredible value for the quality and variety. East Buffet truly stands out as a hidden gem in Hawaiian Gardens, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
